Izzek Ya Sham

The story

Damascus in the 1940s — a city full of life, colour and contradiction. Each episode of this beautifully crafted Syrian drama brings a new story from the same neighbourhood, following different people, different struggles, and different moments of joy and heartbreak. From marriage and family honour to theft and betrayal, the stories are separate but the soul running through them is the same — the proud, warm, unbreakable spirit of old Damascus.
