Biography
Sergio Di Zio – Canadian actor of Italian descent, born 20 September 1972 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He made his acting debut at age 13 in National Lampoon's Senior Trip (1995) and is best known for playing Michelangelo "Spike" Scarlatti in the CTV police drama Flashpoint (2008–2012, 31 episodes). His most notable film roles include Deputy Ted in The Lookout (2007), a role in Cinderella Man (2005) opposite Russell Crowe, Oly in The Boondock Saints (1999), Vittorio in Luck (2003, winner of the South by Southwest Film Festival), Louis in Flash of Genius (2008), and Officer Genco in The Walk (2015). On television he has also appeared in The Queen's Gambit (2020) as Beth's Father, Miss Sloane (2016), Suits (2014), Reign (2013), and Rookie Blue (2009–2015). He has done extensive voice work for animated series including Grojband (2013, 52 episodes as Kin Kujira), Stoked (2009), and Babar and the Adventures of Badou (2010–2011, 104 episodes). He is also an active stage actor, nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Actor for his role in Leo.
