
Jamie Parker
Biography
Jamie Parker – English actor and singer, born 14 August 1979 in Middlesbrough, England. Trained at RADA, graduating in 2002. He is best known for originating the role of Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2016), winning a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor and receiving a Tony Award nomination for the Broadway production. His most notable film roles include The History Boys (2006) as Scripps, Valkyrie (2008) as Werner von Haeften, Dirty Weekend (2013) as Mike, The Lady in the Van (2015), and 1917 (2019) as Lieutenant Richards. On television he has appeared in Parade's End (2012), Becoming Elizabeth (2022) as John Dudley, The Long Shadow (2023), Masters of the Air (2024), and Next to Normal (2025). On stage he has also played Prince Hal / Henry V in the Shakespeare Globe's Henriad trilogy and Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
